Your last line is heartless and disgusting. Why would a pilot deserve a tear but not a professional athlete? Both were forced to take poison. Both are the victims of crimes against humanity. I dont care if you hate sports or not. These are fucking human beings who have not engaged in the crimes themselves. They have been forced to take poison just as your brother, or sister or child has, to keep their job.
My critique to all of you is to stop using the word forced interchangeably with the word chose. Forced is when someone puts a gun to your head and offers an ultimatum. Choosing is weighing options and deciding to take your chances with financial unknowns.
Taking the vaccine or walking away from a multi million contract is a choice. Wanting the vaccine is a choice.
That being said, I will pray for these deaths and as well as healing for survivors so long as they are no longer a threat (softened hearts) to our future. I do not feel emphathy, though.
It's a shitty choice, but part of the overall war. I quit my job, destroyed a great career, and took my chances on my own. I get it, not everyone could do that. But if a majority refused instead of bathing in their pride with the custom social media filters and other social posts lecturing others to get vaccinated, we wouldn't be here. It took courage and careful reasoning. I'll be there to help and comfort these people, but they chose the words of fake newsman on their television rather than friends/family

You need to rethink your position.

Losing your home and security, wondering how you would feed your kids isnt being forced? That isnt a gun to your head?
What you’re identifying is fear, not force. I had to overcome it to reject the vaxx as did millions of others.
I agree with you on some level, it WAS a choice, but if we are considering the Geneva convention it is considered coerced/forced.
