I think Trump is endorsing McCarthy so that Dems won't join in and vote for McCarthy and get him elected Speaker. I don't think Trump wants KM as the Speaker. He is playing on the Dems TDS - they could easily get McCarthy in as Speaker.

I think so, too, yet almost no one at my usual site does. They've jumped on the "condemn Trump" bandwagon.
