I messaged back and forth with my newly elected rep to congress yesterday…here is the conversation:

Me: McCarthy is not our guy. Please do not vote for him again.

Rep: Who is then?

Rep: If you think Goetz is doing this for anything other than money, power, and fame, you are mistaken

Me: I would appreciate very much, a vote for the guy that endorsed you and the reason we supported you. Donald J. Trump.

Me: And if you think Goetz is doing this for money, power and fame,can you please tell me what you think McCarthy’s intentions are? Without meaningful change, we get more of the same, and we strongly disapprove of more of the same.

Rep: I personally spoke to Donald Trump last night and he is strongly encouraging support of Kevin McCarthy for speaker of the house. What else do you want me to do?

Me: If that’s true, I will stand down. God’s got a better plan than I, and I will trust that this is part of His plan. Thanks for the response!😊

Rep: I have no reason to lie to you
