My brother is a pastor of a medium sized church. I've often wondered about the phrase "every man is a sinner". We all look up to pastors as kind and knowledgeable people, yet they too are sinners. What kinds of sins do pastors participate in? Is it mainly a lustful eye? Do they go out and rob banks? Or do they cook the church's books and pad their own salaries? Just because you are related to a preacher does not mean he will be a saint. As for my brother, I do know what sins he has on his heart, he just doesn't realize them. Meanness is a sin and he hasn't got a clue as to how to be compassionate. Oh well, I have my own faults but it isn't being mean to people.
Pastor Perry Stone, I watch him o tv often, said, "No one is righteous." He said he is no different than the person who sits on the church pew. The only different between us and any sinner is the blood of Christ. We have to realize and ask for help.
