There is a possibility that dems could vote McCarthy and swing this quickly. A bit of a game of chicken.

But even if that happens... McCarthy is the Speaker of the House without a majority, and he's dependent upon Dems to get his agenda passed.
Which is just fine for the Deep State since they own both sides, but it's kind of hanging McCarthy out to dry. Cue sad violin music. :)
