Scott Perry switched his vote to McCarthy because he negotiated “in good faith”. Does this mean Perry basically got nothing? Why would McCarthy follow through with Perry’s demands if it’s only in “good faith”? Link in comments

They are basically negotiating with a terrorist who is holding them hostage at this point. Is any of it in writing? I doubt it.
McCarthy has been bought and paid for by lobbyists, PACS and special interest groups for so long that there is no way anyone should consider a good faith bargain from KM. He is obligated to put other bought and paid for RINOs into the chair of the most key committees.
The holdouts in the House of Reps know this, which is why they do not want him in charge. Everyone else has already gotten their deals or are playing ball to keep their seats.
This is a shit show of corruption and shows the microscopic difference between dems and establishment Republicans.
At the end of the day, the sweetest smelling turd in the toilet bowl is still a piece of shit.
This is about trying to stuff the corrupt double damned congress back inside Constitutional Law. To that end the 'rebels' have been trying to accomplish several orders of different things.
First and best option would be to force Mccarthy to withdraw, not likely to happen.
But after that they are trying to force him to use the illegal powers of the Speaker office to end those very powers and revert to honest government. Put simply, reconcile everything against the Constitution, all other doings are illegal.
It is not about personal power, hopefully. The Ideal is at stake here, America's soul as it were.

But at some point…. It needs to be stopped. We keep spinning our wheels about the arrests are coming. These people are doing NOTHING. This will usher us into tyranny if nothing is done.
