What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
My husband planned a party for fellow managers from work, since their job didn't have anything for Christmas. Three sent an RSVP for themselves and spouses, but none ended up showing up. We prepped and cooked for 10 people. At least we don't have to cook this weekend or clean house, I guess. He texted them after they should have been here and asked when they were going to show up. They all forgot about it. He didn't remind them days ago or anything, but they are adults and could have remembered.
We'll probably never do that again.
Should have reminded them. We've all got literal plastic in our brains and the entire culture has a minor case of ADD due to phone notifications. We do not have the brains or bodies that those who died in the 50s or 60s did.
Also, if you send invitations as an email, most services like Gmail and Outlook will use AI to offer the recipient to automatically put the event in their calendar for them. Of course, I recognize that this only increases a reliance on notifications for us to remember anything, but I still thought the functionality was worth mentioning.
Take some extras to a nearby homeless!
I agree he should have reminded them, and I believe the invite he used sent a reminder as well.
