I think McCarthy is acting like part of the swamp not to get caught, he has pretty much supported everything about the swamp, and the swamp supports him believing he is a key player even though President Trump "endorses" him.

He didn't have to for it to move onto the Senate, and there were quite a few RINOs who didn't.
