Several Rep’s said they would never vote for McCarthy. By voting ‘Present’ they kept their word, and the MAGA movement continued by having McCarthy acquiesce to ALL their demands. He has gone from RINO to SPINO.

Yes. As I thought, it was all kabuki. Even MTG. Even McCarthy. He couldn't have baldly upset the Uniparty by looking agreeable, or Reps would have joined the Dems to thwart him. They were playing chicken with the Dems from a very safe position, and when the margins were getting down into an unstable zone, the coach stopped it. Good actors putting on a thriller.
