"Experts" are "experts" because they provide the product they're paid for to the people paying their paychecks.

"Trusting the science" is an oxymoron, because science isn't something that you can "trust". (Our understanding of) Science changes through skepticism and challenge.

What we trust is the "scientific process", and the scientific process was perverted every step of the way.
