You get a list of words and work out the Gematria value of each one. Then when you want to "prove" something you determine its value using Gematria then you find some appropriate matches that confirm what you want to prove.
For instance, if you want to show that Gematria is possibly not useful you could determine that the value of Gematria (in one system) is 74 then you find a suitable word whose valus is 74 to make your point. For example, "Balderdash" (and Baloney) also comes out at 74 so Gematria = Balderdash.
One main issue to me would be what happens in other languages? You will get different answers. Are they all correct? Does the Hebrew system trump the A=1, B=2 ... system?
