Be kind to our next generations so there's no massive influx of Greta Thunberg wannabees. Those that are awake, it's all in your hands so be mindful on how you approach them.
This is awful. I’m pretty realistic with my young kids. We’ve also been blessed to be in zero mask zones and great private/public schools that haven’t been through bs. My 5yo has a painting being featured at the Houston Rodeo, we build, shoot, lego, fish. USA USA USA
This is tragic and horrible. My kid lost the latter part of his junior year and his entire senior year of high school to this damn virus. The remote learning BS sucked. He didn't have either of his proms or either of his upper class Army JROTC military balls. He felt like he'd missed out on everything that he'd worked for his entire schooling. He's still not over it. We did make sure to take him to bigger cities, like Chicago, where they had a lot more open because of their masking policies (not saying that the masks were a good thing- just that they had a lot more open because of the masks than we did here). Went to a few concerts up there, etc.. but he'll never get back what he lost.
I wish more of the younger generations were outspoken against the mandates and lockdowns and social distance requirements such as your son. Although maybe him, just like I was, was one person amongst a sea of retarded minions.
A very large portion of his class are outspoken about it. Some of them angry. Some more along the lines of PTSD-like trauma responses. I've seen very few, comparatively, who seem unaffected.
Really. I haven't seen younger folks anywhere do anything meaningful or worthwhile. I tried to be a beacon of hope by refusing to mask or social distance but the younger generations are more fearful and indoctrinated to groupthink (even if they aren't scared, they're fearful NOT to fit in!)

...this is something that is going to be around for a long time...
I definitely need to get some sleep. Initially read that sans-commas as "shoot Lego fish"🐸

More than 15% of his life was stolen from him if you put the amount of time in perspective to his age. He's rightful to be angry.
Totally agreed. He has every right to be angry, and feel like something huge was stolen from him.
About 10% of my life was stolen from me, and I'm livid.
IS/WAS because I don't feel as if the treachery has ended yet, obviously it hasn't.

...resentment runs deep and silent...
...for a wee while...
...valid observation...
...compelling addendum....
