I am always optimistic but still remember the high expectations and low performance of Trey Gowdy. The proof will be how the committee is organized and the investigation conducted. If the FBI is used as investigators and public hearings consist of a series of five minute speeches we will know it is business as usual. On the other hand, if they hire professional staff and have counsel, rather than committee members, conduct witness interrogation we may really have something. We will see.
