I met this doctor in the early 90's. I wouldn't understand the medical comments you mentioned, but with the advancement of science and research since he first started, it's quite possible his treatments would have changed over the years. He was definitely a fighter for a cause, and a direction, that few others would touch.
The powerful tried to destroy him from the beginning; insurance companies wouldn't for his treatments; and unfortunately, there was no social media to at least saturate the public enough to question traditional cancer treatments.
Plus, keep in mind, he was located in Texas--in the same area as the world-renowned, M.D. Anderson Cancer Hospital system...
