I have long thought the same thing. You can bet before he was asked to run, his background was scoured with a fine-tooth comb looking for anything the Dems/DS could use against him.

If he was picked from his youth, then whoever was overseeing him would have made sure he kept his nose clean. It's probably why he doesn't drink alcohol.
