I am usually not one who likes to speak ill of the dead, but this Catholic alleged abuser / priest pedo enabler / SA denier has so much blood on his hands from his time spent ministering around Ballarat, Vic, he deserves an extra hot seat in hell.
I am sure I am not the only one not sad to see him gone.
I'm not sure here guys. I havnt looked at this story for a while but it didn't pass the pub test.
From what I recall, at the time of his arrest he looking into finances of the Vatican and made some very concerning discoveries. Then out of know where 30 year old accusations land the man in prison. It felt like a setup to me.
This deserves a look, first because the cover story is way too flimsy, second because any time an investigator, auditor, journalist is exposing things and is struck by SADS it is worth an examination, and third, when dubious old accusations pop up AFTER said person is exposing things, it rings of desperate cover-up.
The only redeeming quality of George Pell is that he has (inadvertently) helped to expose the ancient Roman blackmail scheme. Thanks George.

I've never played that game of "respecting the dead." Screw that, dying isn't special, billions of people have died and all of us are going to die. So dying doesn't make a person a hero or a better person anymore than taking a shit does. If a person was an asshole or a POS in life I'll call it like it is when that person is dead too. Dying doesn't change anything we have done in life. It simply means we can't repair the damage we have done. Therefore we should be remembered for how we were in life. If you don't want people talking about what an asshole you were, now is the time to fix it. Dying doesn't fix it, it makes it permanent.
