The SCOTUS just needs to make a final 2A ruling that states ANY law passed by Local, State or Federal government that restricts the purchase, possession, and carry of ANY firearm and/or ammunition shall be null and void. This includes making the NFA null and void as well. Problem solved.

They just did a wide-sweeping ban in Illinois today, seems the strategy now is to flood us at the state level and spread the resources of 2A groups thin taking all of this shit to court.
When Polis was elected I said they would come for your money, guns, and vote. I left when they took my vote. I see they're working on completing the trifecta.
We probably sold a bit early but even though they kept reporting higher prices I really don't think there were any buyers at those prices. We lived near Glenwood and it's hard to sell mountain property in a soft market. We did a stint near our son in Ft Worth and hated it. Ended up in eastern Tennessee and are mostly glad to be here. No where is perfect.
It is amazing twisty road central, and they're smooth as glass mostly.
Services here are weak. Medical care takes some advanced planning for everyday stuff. Dining out is not a strong point. Any travel through a big city will be jammed as they are all overwhelmed with new population. The tourists do come here a lot in the summer. It's mostly small town south, the people are super nice and it's pretty cheap.
I've only been here full time since Sept. Fall was perfect. Dry and warm. Winter has been a mix. I'd say we've been averaging a day or two per week of gray, cloudy, maybe a little rain and in the 40s. A couple of days a week are sunny and close to 60 and the rest somewhere in between. We did have some cold during that historic cold snap but it left after a couple of days. We chose to live at 2k feet so summers aren't as hot as elsewhere in TN. When we were visiting it was 80's and kind of humid but not terrible. It does cool off at night, unlike Texas. We do have bugs in the summer. Chiggers and gnats are a problem. Winter is hiking season.
