Plot twist: McCarthy becomes president, names Trump VP and promptly steps down.

or new house rule is used to unseat McCarthy as speaker right after or during impeachment and Trump becomes speaker and hence president. perhaps Gaetz nomination of Trump during the speaker votes (without any appeal from house members) set a precedent that Trump can win speaker nomination. just spitballing but this would make some sense for this movie
