“Ongoing exposure to NO2 from gas stoves is linked to reduced cognitive performance,”
Nitrogen dioxide is not usually released directly into the air. Nitrogen dioxide forms when nitrogen oxide (NO) and other nitrogen oxides (NOx), that are already in the air, react with other chemicals in the air to form nitrogen dioxide. So it is kind of a secondary equation because the heat interacts with elements in the air. The gas has a red/brown colour. The point is that naturally occurring NO can be converted to NO2. It is good plant food BTW, so this is why there is an old wives tale about lightning and the accompanying rain that is good for crops.
Some health departments have been saying that elevated levels of nitrogen dioxide can cause damage to the human respiratory tract and increase a person's vulnerability to, and the severity of, respiratory infections and asthma. NOT cognitive performance. However, that particular gem was produced by the Queensland Governments, and IMO it is setting a narrative to blame common colds on naturally occurring NO2 in the air. https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/management/monitoring/air/air-pollution/pollutants/nitrogen-oxides
Not sure where she gets this shit for brains idea from, but she definitely failed high school chemistry. But I notice that a LOT of health departments are now spewing this narrative.
Just a recap:
Fuel + O2 → CO2 + H2O.
So the burning of gas is not directly responsible for a NO2 producing equation. And if high heat can cause the conversion, then any cooking or heating will increase it, due to the heat. However, a bit of ventilation will soon sort it out.
Just saying.
IMO this is another scare campaign. If anything, we should worry about partial combustion in old stoves that can produce CO instead of CO2.

Thank you for the breakdown fren... Cheers...
Agree, a scare campaign to keep the sheeple in a constsnt state of fear, desperation and demoralization.
It also = a distraction. "Look here, not there." What are they doing/working on that they don't want the public to see/know about?
Ugly, horse faced MORON.
Kekekek... Very true... Cheers fren...
Put an American flag over her head and do her for Old Glory... Kekekek... Cheers fren...
