Yet, NARA immediately knew every declassified document President Trump took and claimed they were still classified?
Shouldn’t someone at NARA be held criminally negligent for know knowing the whereabouts of these documents?

I don't think NARA does or even can have knowledge of the existence of all classified documents.
The department heads are supposed to submit important documents for archival.

When I read this article it sounds like they demanded boxes back, got them, then claimed there was classified documents in them. This was well before the Mar a Lago raid.
The Guardian among other outlets leaps to conclusions without evidence. Here is the archivist's non answer linked (but not quoted because it undermines the Guardian's fake conclusion)
"Did NARA ask the representatives of former President Trump about missing records prior to the 15 boxes being identified? If so, what information was provided in response?
Answer: NARA had ongoing communications with the representatives of former President Trump throughout 2021, which resulted in the transfer of 15 boxes to NARA in January 2022."
The FBI raid happened FIRST and then NARA identified the boxes.
"What efforts has NARA taken, and is NARA taking, to ensure that any additional records that have not been turned over to NARA are not lost or destroyed?
Answer: NARA has asked the representatives of former President Trump to continue to search for any additional Presidential records that have not been transferred to NARA, as required by the Presidential Records Act."
In other words they don't have a document list. It's just the law for the President to comply.
The raid happened on 8 August 2022, this article was written 18 February 2022, six months prior.
Fair enough. Misread the date I apologize.
National Archives asks DOJ to investigate Trump administration’s handling of White House records
shill on....
I'm not a shill...that word doesn't even remotely apply here.
First of all your source is CNBC which...LOL.
And secondly there is nothing in that article that contradicts what I said. NARA suspected documents were taken, so the TRUMP aide investigated and contacted them pre raid. They did not know what documents were missing.
