Ukrainian language is closer to Russian, but has some (less) words similar to Polish. I know both (been forced to learn Russian in communist Poland as a child).

Looks legit.

One of my Grandmothers spoke and read Polish frequently/fluently, as all of my great-great grandparents were from Poland.
