You folks must be youngens. These guys were in the news in the 90's. Things didn't pan out as they intended.
I don't ascribe the CIA to all new or unusual religious movements. There are plenty of of other motivations for people to start up and utilize such organizations. I'm not saying none in that folder are connected to the CIA, just that it's too easy a kneejerk reaction to say its the CIA all the time.
