I don't know what kind of reception Greenwald gets around here - it's always been something I have been curious about tbh.
I've resisted from posting some things of his because of it but he really has a lot of favorable reporting and takes that the community would agree with 100%. When Saagar & Krystal used to host Rising I was pretty keen on them too .... yeah, I got fooled there. Don't even bother with their new show too much.. they are Neos in disguise, as they proved.
Greenwald not so. He's remained consistent. He doesn't emphasize his far left stances much or constantly berate Trump and lump him in with far worse swamp members like Jimmy Dore - the only thing I've heard Greenwald really take Trump to task for was his failure to pardon Snowden and Assange (which many others and myself AGREE was a failure of his) and still he understands it's because the establishment forced his hand with the 3rd post-Presidency (???) impeachment.
Greenwald likes to emphasize the commonalities between the leftist populist and right wing Trump populists. He's right and I wish more independent media folks did the same, especially those types who were fans of Bernie and then left politically homeless when he sold out to the NeoLib establishment. He also criticizes the "Squad" heavily for their transparent lying and constantly going back on what they claim are their principles and goals, unlike Kyle Kulinski and others who are SO EAGER TO KISS AOC'S BIG LATINA ASS.
Probably most importantly is that Glenn has always targeted the INTEL and [DS] since early in the Bush years and has never wavered from that stance whatsoever. He has a VERY principled view on Government infringement on the people's rights and that should make him a fierce ally for our movement. We need people on the left like Glenn to continue his critiques of the modern left, particularly to show Millenials and younger people still in college that they are being lied to and supporting an unholy corporate-political kleptocratic alliance.
Much as I learned the errors of my liberal ways through people like Ron Paul we always should support those who share bipartisan agreement on fundamental issues like Greenwald. He can do more to sway young minds and those that are lost and asleep than any of us can...
Jimmy Dore was just in a deeper end of the swamp than most; my feeling is, he is out, but has some sludge that till needs to be removed.
You are right about AOC's ass, and she is not worth a discussion beyond that.
Greenwald, wow. His reporting is so deep; therefore, can untangle complicated subjects. Brazil, for me , fit that bill.
