Pfizer is still fighting and settling lawsuits claiming Lipitor causes type II diabetes. Space Dr. Duane Graveline took Lipitor and claimed it causes memory loss. Let buyers beware.

Family member is on lipitor and he recently snapped both tendons in both his knees within a few months of each other. Can’t prove it was caused by the lipitor but I have my suspicions.
Was he on antibiotics prior to the tendons rupturing. The side effects of the antibiotic below can last 10 years.
"The fluoroquinolone (fluoroquinolone toxicity) family of antibiotics consisting of Cipro, Ciprofloxacin, Levaquin, Levofloxacin, Ciprodex, and Avelox can commonly cause tendon ruptures in any age group."

I am so sorry.
Holy shit that had to be painful.
I was on statins for around 5 years and had countless tendon injuries, chronic tendonitis and 2 different tendon tears. This all resulted in 13 surgeries. I've now been on statins for a year and haven't had a new injury pop up, just dealing with an existing one lingering. Statins definitely affect joints and tendons in a bad way
