This sculpture can actually be described as anamorphic art - art that has been produced with a distorted perspective or distorted projection, which requires the viewer to stand in a specific location to reconstitute the image of the artwork or to use a specific device to reconstitute the image.
It seems like since the renaissance (from the 1400's to the 1500's) the 'illuminati' may have used anamorphic art to diguise hidden messages in plain sight. Also featured in the Leonardo video is an anamorphic representation of Ignatius Loyola the founder of the Jesuits (Society of Jesus) by artist Andrea Pozzo. (See from 8:10.)
