I left pro sports years ago, when I realized that they were well on their way to what "professional" wrestling is: ENTERTAINMENT, not SPORT. Perhaps not scripted, but manipulated for a particular outcome. Now, with the rise of NIL, college sports Is doing the same. Right now, my favorite sport to watch is college women's hockey. Virtually none of these ladies will make a living from playing hockey after college. They play to win because they love it. THAT is sport.
