It may seem we lost quite a bit, but us taking over the House was actually a BIG win. We control the purse now. We can work on budgeting and limiting the cost of spending by our government with the PEOPLES' money, NOT the gov.
Does it mean the Senate will vote against it and the Resident Biden vetoing it? More than likely, they will.
BUT, as the congress person stated, if the Senate/biden are unwilling to approve the budget, etc....they will be the ones responsible if our country is shut down. And they'll have to explain to their brain dead supporters why they feel it's more necessary to shut down our country and destroy our economy because the the dems are mad when the House (Republican controlled) wants to limit/end excessive and unnecessary spending to countries like Ukraine who have, ungratefully, taken billions from us already.
They did mention that our biggest issue, that the dems don't have an issue with is, they are united and we are not. No matter how insane, obscure, evil, immoral and mind baffling the things the democrats...as a group, support, they will stick together no matter what. And that hurts us bigely. The Dems don't have to do too much to create chaos within the Republican party, because we are doing it to ourselves just fine....and we're not going to get very far if we continue this path. We've got to stick together, as much as we can....because as long as the demented dems stick together, we have to beat them at their own game and do the same...if better.
Anyways, just wanted to share this with you all. And after what I heard tonight, I feel VERY much more hopeful.
Think the Rinos won't vote with the dems? Hopium is good but let's put the reality on the back burner for now.
I don't plan to put the "reality" on the back burner, as you put it, because I am seeing/understanding something that you may not see at the moment. It's quite difficult to really express what I'm thinking....so I'll just leave it with this post. We'll see what comes down the line....but I'm certainly feeling quite confident with where we are heading.
And I SO hoping your optimism is warranted. Not much would make me happier. But this isn't my first rodeo.
