Let's go back to 1% like the Boston Tea Party, then negotiate from there once you fully balance the books and stop charging asinine amounts for every day problems.
Yes we do need roads, but it doesn't cost $10k+ to repair a single pothole either. Anything gov't contract based is ALWAYS 20x+ higher in price...just because it uses gov't funding. You know those "construction police" that just park their cars at construction sites along a highway, lets say blocking an entrance ramp, they get paid a minimum $40/hr...and they don't even have to be there...just the car.
