In the hospital with second son. Teen. Pureblood of course. Bad headaches last two days. Can’t sleep. Can’t eat. Nauseated. Scans and such are fine. Had to sign for a spinal. Ok. Made a side note that no transfusions of vaxxed blood. That was almost two hours ago.

Prayers being sent. I rarely use Sumatriptan anymore, though in a pinch it is amazing to help with the pain that knocked me out. Only ever needed it twice (driving both times & needed to keep going).
Otherwise I find almost all of my migraines are related to dehydration (maybe just electrolyte embalance).
Liquid IV (like Gatorade) has been a fantastic way to prevent them & stop them when they are starting. I used to use Excedrine when they started coming on, though now that I have figured out that mine are caused by a lack of electrolytes I just keep up on having mixes around & drink them frequent tly to prevent the pain.
My migraines are always triggered by hormones coming up or crashing down around the week of my period, msg ( back in the day ) or excessive heat like plating basketball in peak summer...
Caffeine with a liquid advil helps if i catch it early on.
For a boy maybe a growth spurt of hormones? Eye glasses? Low blood sugar? Drinking too many caffeine drinks?
