My own observation after being in a UK hospital in Jan 2021 after I broke my ankle on both sides.
There was very very little so called "Covid" patients, I asked nurses and HCA who were working. They said very little, I asked if the covid wards were busy, no not really etc etc. NOBODY seemed bothered by it. I never wore a mask and many others didn't.
It was that quiet that my side ward was shut down and me and another moved to make it easier for staff.
A nurse tried to do a test on me for covid once, the swab barely touched my nose before I snorted it out, and that was it. Once in a 5 day stay.
Even leaving I wore no mask as I was wheel chaired out, the place was empty.
Just my observations.
