Things typically happen in cycles throughout history. I could detail all that I can think of offhand but then I'd be typing for hours and hours so I'll just name a few examples. People fought to escape crown rule when the USA began then we had a good stretch of peace but then came the civil war for more hard times through war.
Then society began to evolve and improve but then came more wars and the great depression. After that things began to boom with some wars and conflicts along the way. Then came the more recent shit of recent years which will be due to be over with largely within the next few years then it will likely be many decades for the next major bit of shit to happen.
Lots of things happen in cycles though. Even the housing market with the housing bubble that bursts in repeated cycles. Increased demand for houses cause the prices to go way up but when people are no longer able to afford those higher prices and homes start sitting empty, then the prices drop and more people are able to have houses but then the cycle begins its next repeat.
1,000 years of peace has never been possible but we could possibly hope for all that we're currently dealing with being the last cycle of shit to happen during our life times at least. The cycles always repeat and almost always are caused by the rich and powerful that wants more wealth and more power and control. Even if all of the rich magically just died, the cycle would still repeat because new rich people would emerge.
When a new batch of rich people emerged then they would build up rich families and eventually the cycle would once again repeat, as it always has throughout history. We could better prevent it with modern technology and internet but we would also need more actual patriots winning local level elections and being held accountable to prevent them from becoming corrupt like every politician does eventually.
