So I just watched Lisa Marie’s memorial service. I don’t know what I expected. I watched out of curiosity. I never followed her life and always felt bad for her. I can’t imagine her life. I don’t mean the celebrity aspect of money. I was a child when Elvis died and remember his death. I still listen to his music and I’ve been one of the crazies who paid to much to visit Graceland.
I believe she had planned her memorial, I believe that’s what they said. My first impression, it was Southern Baptist and Hollywood rolled into one. There was a church choir sung a couple songs and I fast forwarded. It’s not my cup of tea. The pastor or Memphis representative (not sure) said some nice things but his beginning was kinda weird or “Hollywood cult weird” He starts out with, before we had.,, and named multiple celebrity couples and their first born… then he says we had LMP born here in Memphis. 1968. I hope she didn’t plan that part. It was kinda tacky. I only knew Elvis’ last living member of Memphis Mafia, Jerry (don’t remember last name). I really enjoyed hearing about his relationship with Lisa from birth to death. Sounds like they were close. Axel Rose sung November Rose and it was bad I FF again. Maybe his voice was bad from emotion, he talked in addition to singing, sounds like they were friends. G&R has been one of my top fav rock band’s & I’ve seen recent concert clips and he sounded great. Not that it matters concerning the service. It’s just another strange aspect. A British woman spoke saying they called each other cissy and sounded like they were friends. I was shocked to learn it was Sarah Ferguson. Four men sung a church hymn but I could barely hear it. Priscilla spoke & again with the choir. I found it on YouTube, People mag. The video recording seemed unprofessional. I didn’t expect that from a big entertainment magazine. The camera was all over the place. The last person speaking asked they not photograph the family. As the family was leaving a lady came in front of camera people making them lower the cameras. That was good because it doesn’t matter who you are you deserve privacy at a time like this. Sorry so long, I’m not a fan so I’m not upset, it was just different.
I didn't watch this but did watch Diamond's Celebration of Life and it was inspirational. Was even able to DVR it on Real America's Voice channel.
I didn’t think about watching her’s. I’ll check it out.
You can still watch it on RSBN online i think.
Thanks
