Why do Christians struggle with law being abolished?
Seventh Day Adventists try to separate out the "law of commandments contained in ordinances" from the rest of the law. However, Paul's letter to the Galatians shows that if you try to keep any part of the law, even circumcision, you are a debtor to keep the whole law (Gal. 5:3). Not only that, but you are under a curse (3:10) and in slavery (4:24-25) and have no hope to inherit the promise made to Abraham (3:14, 4:30) which is the Spirit of the Son sent forth into our hearts (4:6). Now, if we are led by the Spirit, we are not under the law (5:18).
