This was an industry-specific test run for what became the whole vax passport thing.
Ostensibly serving a noble purpose, operating with zero oversight, with no disclosure or transparency on how names are added, or how wrong entries can be challenged or removed, and no liability for harm done to legit business interests or private citizens. And slowly over time there is no surprise it becomes full of political opponents or anyone even remotely hated by the current regime of the day.
'its a private business' argument trotted out for airports, airplanes, terminals, tickets and contracts between passengers and companies.. but yet look at the corrupt hand of the state fucking with people they have no authority over.
And of course, the TSA are the goons analogous to the heavy handed thug police who attack people at the beach for not having masks, or families for the terrible crime of eating out at diners. Complete with the same humiliation and degradation rituals.. groping, thievery, petty tyrannies.
No surprises for me now that I am awake to how this came about. 911 is a sham and we were stuck with this.

Remember the BILLIONS wasted trying to erect and code a simple website and database for OBAMACARE years ago? BILLIONS wasted and nonfunctional web site coded EXCLUSIVELY by majority "DIVERSITY HIRES" in management all the way down to contracting firms and subcontracting firms.

Wonder if this could open them up to a lawsuit if you or a family member is harmed due to the fact that the most qualified person was not hired for a job simply because they needed diversity at the hr department. I'm sorry if it makes me a racist if I would much rather have the qualified person checking for terrorists at the airport. I don't care what color or race they are. Fake news would leave the last sentence out of that statement.

All CI doesn’t suck, just most devops engineers. But yeah, Jenkins is awful, as is the hacker and this giant nothingburger of a story.
I would say that is generally because the environments were not correctly set up (and also that most engineers in general — hell, most in any profession — are bad at their jobs). That said, it also depends on the frameworks used.
In my experience that sort of thing is much more frequent in a windows-dependent development environment than one where all the devs are using macOS / Linux, because windows is awful.
All that said, if you have a proper environment, which usually consists of IDENTICAL deployments, locally, or on an integration server (usually using something like Docker), there is rarely a large disparity between the local and production environments, and when there is, it’s generally an easy catch in the staging environment (missing dependency, data, env var, etc).
As for CI, kubernetes is a life-saver.

He was a CBP Officer with a Security Clearance-- had to show his creds and diplomatic passport FOR EVERY FUCKING trip we went on for 4 years!!! the IRA asshole he was supposed to be was same name; 5'6" 135lbs-- hubs; 6'4" 235lbs And the retarded airline desk people were even better--- "Do you know what the no fly list is Mr. Irish last name?" Hubs- yes ma'am here's my ID Clerk "OH!!! Somebody brought their big boy IDs"

They can say what they want to the cattle, and treat the cattle how they want, however if one of the cattle steps out of line and says something they don't like, you are banned from flying. I have no idea why he was on the no fly list, but that's ridiculous.

Investigative reporters and bloggers are finding themselves being repeatedly body searched at airports. This type of harassment extends into many areas of political activity.
Whenever my family flew to Florida, we'd decline going through the millimeter wave' machines and opt for the metal detector line. It seems my wife and kids were always unobstructed from going through the metal detector at the airport. I can't tell you how many times I was pulled to the side for a TSA body pat down. Coincidence? Maybe. I have no idea. It made me wonder if I was on some sort of a 'list'. I've often wonder how anyone can find out. They say for every action, there's a reaction. The reaction for inquiring might not be conducive... and as far as I'm concerned, might even draw attention to which then I'm added to the list.
These registries are not only concerning, but unconstitutional and a result of the Patriot Act, which needs to be ended.
I agree this charade needs to end.
