Mike Pence was tasked with the most critical issues Trump had to deal with.

The following appears to be the motive for pursuing a desired end result.
In playing devil's advocate, what is the motive and what is the expected results? Follow along here and I'll reveal what I think is the motive and the end result.
Allowing Pence's attorney to enter his house means Pence had to know about it and approved it in advance.
His lawyer would have known where to look. I'm sure Mike Pence wouldn't want anyone rifling through his wife's closet or dresser drawers or any other family member's belongings. Not for a minute. Instead, his lawyer had to be directed (and plausibly) escorted by family member(s) to the location of the confidential documents. Pence knew where they were. The question is whether this is all staged. It appears it is.
Why and how did Mike Pence possess these confidential documents? Playing along with this mystery drama, someone from Washington had to know Pence had these documents. All classified documents are (1) for eyes only (2) viewed in a prescribed place and time frame, and (3) supervised to assure their return is followed and completed. There is a strict protocol to be followed. All classified documents are meticulously tracked. The VP should have been notified for their return before leaving office. This did not happen. Was the protocol broken? Or is this a fabricated staged event as a result of the growing Biden document scandal?
Washington DC's standard method for getting rid of evidence is to destroy it. The democrats know this very well. This was an option for Pence too. Even if it was known Pence had confidential documents, the lack of evidence leaves many questions. Like Biden, Pence could plead ignorant to ever having these documents. Pence didn't do this though. Why?
This means there's 'something' more to this case. Could Pence be attempting to make this appear to be a common precedent thereby absolving Biden of his crimes of possessing confidential information? One report stated Biden had confidential documents from the time he was in the Senate. Is this why Lindsey Graham is defending Biden saying its probably much ado about nothing?
What about Trump and his Mar-a-Lago raid? Are Trump's documents (which are indeed legal) contain compelling evidence against Hunter Biden and Joe Biden? Is the Pence and Biden confidential document ordeals an attempt to make Trump's documents go away? In other words, AG Garland decides to drop all the cases, including Trump's, due to the fact 'everyone' has been violating these protocols for confidential documents? To fix this 'snafu', Garland will notify the FBI and Intel agencies that they need to amend the protocols so that this will never happen again. This seems to be the standard way Washington covers up widespread crimes. Oh and by the way, we'll just keep all of Trump's documents. The end result is Biden and his extensive empire of corruption is left untouched. Many RINOS and democrats alike are now saved from discovery. The corrupt system continues as it always has in the past.
To me, the scenario above appears to be the motive for Pence entering the picture.
Time will tell
Yes time is good, but we must make good use of it too.
