The state of the NHS could be intentional, of course. There has been a desire by some to move to a more American system. The doctors will benefit because their salaries may well triple! However, the main winners will be the insurance companies and Big Pharma.
I think the idea is to run down the NHS and then to say that a "reset" is required and, by the way, we have a company lined up to do it. I bet the kickbacks have already been agreed.
I don't think I want to change to a system in which hospitals receive $100,000 for each COVID-19 patient they can admit, treat and kill. That sounds like too much of an incentive to me.
