I’ve see a few people who believe meat is the most healthy food to eat. For example the carnivore diet which even goes the complete opposite of what we think about veggies. One thing is for certain, we certainly didn’t eat processed wheat until the industrial revolution, thus, our bodies aren’t used to eating it.
I want real data on the health aspects of meat and fats. Do they really cause high cholesterol? What clogs arteries?
Edit; Any recommended books?
I mean, sure, if all you eat is corn and grain raised meats, processed and deep fried foods cooked with canola oil, processed wheat and gluten, sugar and salt without iodine, you will not feel so good in your later years. Grass fed beef, butter from grass fed beef, in proportion with whole grains and vegetables, it is a different food altogether. Grass fed beef is full of omega 3 fats, essential for good health and good arteries. Modern "convenience" food is just cheap fodder to get the most out of your working years and lets you die off young, after you have addicted your children to empty calories. Its like letting the slaves suck on sugar cane in the fields instead of feeding them. We took the sun and grass away from grazing animals, shoved corn into them, raised them in feeding lots where they are up to their knees in manure, loaded them with drugs, and wonder why people who eat that turn up ill.
I want to get only grass fed beef but buying just small lots of it, like a few steaks or hamburger packages is expensive. I want a whole grass fed cow, or even a quarter, but that's still way too much meat since I don't have a big freezer and live in an apt.
I buy a lot from Butcher Box, they only sell grass fed beef, and a box a month, a small box, is 150 bucks, frree delivery. Do you live in USA? Because they ship all over the country You can get the all beef box, and even choose a custom box.
Yeah I do. I checked their site that’s pretty expensive even if I choose 10 pounds ground beef and 20 oz NY strip steaks at 169 $ a box. That’s 15 dollars a pound!
I remember getting grass fed hamburger on sale at sprouts for around 5 dollars a pound.
