I was a lifelong eagles fan and haven't turned on a minute of football in 3 seasons. I couldn't care less about it now, even if the eagles are going to the superbowl.

So sad for you but I can relate. Was a Raiders fan myself, so I'm not missing the hate along with the disappointments. I just don't care anymore. It all looks like bread and games to me to keep the plebs content. Although, it may be looking like they are going to have some difficulty with the bread delivery part of the equation here pretty soon. We shall see then if the sports entertainment will be enough to keep them from revolting.

Yup. I finally managed to convince a couple of my diehard football junkie buds that it is all bull crap. Showed them a few videos about magnetic gloves, footballs, and goal posts, not to mention sensors and the like all built into the fields. It is a higher tech version of pro wrestling. Even though they still watch the show, at least I know that I have completely ruined it for them.

Sucks missing out on the party with family and friends but it would just be too strange for me now. Sit around and ignore the fact we're paying double for chips, steaks, brats, etc. And have that party like nothing is wrong?
