Most people have heard of the high-frequency trading algos right? Trying to be the first in with the lowest latency comms links to the exchanges and the most overspecced computers which lets them front run trades, mess with price discovery and all sorts of other manipulation shenanigans that comes with what is essentially an insider position.

I assume there is at least one trader that has written the HFT equivalent to the NancyTracker, repeating her trades within nanoseconds and microseconds of the disclosure that she has bought, sold or shorted stocks.

Enough people doing the nancytracker thing and suddenly congress doing insider trading will fail in viability.
