Is “peer reviewed” a qualifier that means anything? Is peer reviewing corrupted or using a common practice of scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours?
I want facts and science not the thumbs up or down of someone reviewer. Tag lines we should see are “science and study based document” as a qualifier not “my pal approves”. As much as we see yes and money men in the medical and science fields, how could we lend legitimacy to peer reviewed? Let’s see the work and data and not rest on just the rubber stamp of peer reviewed.
Peer reviewing is an important part of the scientific process and that's why trust is instilled into it.
The problem is that it has become very incestuous and narrow in their findings instead of welcoming criticism to their methods or conclusions.
At this point it's almost like, you pay two different people sums of money to agree with each other and then they'll agree that the finding is sound, and then it's considered "peer reviewed" while other objections are suppressed.
Good point about buddy system.
