if you actually go and listen to the WEF, they talk a lot about connecting people to the internet and how eventually we won't have phones because it will all just be inside you.
When I worked at Google I came across some internal documents that talked about exactly this. It was called something along the lines of "intrabody neural network". While 3 of the documents were above my access privileges 2 of them that I did have access privileges talked about successful development of a intrabody neural network that Google did in partnership with the Japanese government. Talked about satellite connection capabilities as well.
