My company didn't mandate, but they did say you had to upload your vax status by a certain date (I ignored it), and a few weeks later it blew over and they dropped it.
I had to submit a religious exemption to keep my current position in tech.
For me, it's been working out very well due to my work ethic and ability to not call out sick or go on leave of absence due to adverse effects I don't seem to fall victim too. Been working tons of OT and on-call work too, which is why my post count and meme production has dropped precipitously.
I think it depends on the company and likely the state. I was never required to get it where I work though they pushed it HARD. My wife works for a very large hospital system and they did require it but no longer do (Texas).

If any company is doing anything like that they are CABAL. They are going to be sued out of existence. Find a new place of employment.
Advance Auto Parts never pushed that as far as I know.
I think you are correct…yet their HR makes it mandatory for all new hires☘️
