A: . If eating spaghetti I prefer spinach pasta. It has a small percentage of spinach, don’t remember the percentage. . Is couscous a pasta? It’s new to me and I over did it for a while. B: I’m not sure what all the names are, I don’t like the round pasta’s. It taste fine. I want my pasta covered in sauce and this kind doesn’t allow sauce to cover.
A = angel hair pasta is my favorite. Why? Because it’s a thin pasta and it’s not heavy. It has to be cooked al dente.
B = anything thick or heavy, ziti, penne, or rigatoni. Heavy pasta makes me feel sick after I eat it. It’s just so dry and icky.
Edit: I forgot those Flangly noodles that you put in with Swedish meatballs. I love those.
Best - Carbonara made with Angel hair
Worst - Macaroni 🤮
My grandmother made the best mac & cheese and it’s so simple. It’s the cheese that makes it. I’ve used spaghetti if I’m out of macaroni. I don’t like something like macaroni salad with mayo.
. While mac is cooking cut cheese in small blocks, about the size of fingernail. Any hard cheese you like. I use sharp cheddar and if low ad mozzarella. About a cup. I don’t measure I’ve cooked it so long I know how much to use. . Add one egg to cooked macaroni and stir . Add cut cheese, S&P . Cover pot and put on stove with out the burner on. . I do this while cooking to let cheese melt. Stir at least once. It’s nothing fancy, special because I grew up on it.
I don't know what is about the macaroni pasta but i hate the taste...I'm just weird! 😸
I don’t believe disliking a food is weird. Growing up in the south (US) I don’t like most typical southern foods. Maybe just country instead of southern. IDK if these foods are nationwide. Rutabaga, cantaloupe, chitins, pickled eggs and pigs feet are just a few I have refused to eat while my family thinks they are the best ever. I tasted cantaloupe every summer for ten years hoping I’d like it, because people that eat it are in love with it. Give me a watermelon any day over that. We are all different for a reason.
