i like your vision...have often thought about doing away with the entire VA system, issue veterans "medicare-like" benefits that can be used anywhere, then turn those huge VA hospitals into veterans living areas...with this, the veterans would get better/quicker medical help, regular hospitals/doctors can provide care, and do away with all that VA overhead expense, and have oversight for fraud monitored...maybe just a pipe dream, but i am all for giving our veterans the best care they should have...

Absolutely! With the right care, they can eliminate most "cut and drug" theraputics that they push on people. All of those mega hospitals that take up a whole city block could be repurposed for VA care and assisted living. I love that idea!
