"In the ongoing development of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, Pfizer has not conducted gain of function or directed evolution research." Why not just say they never do it under any circumstances????

Their statement is a carefully lawyered slimeballspeak that is designed to shut off your brain and confuse you, but without actually lying.
