1: always comply the first time and never run even if you think you did nothing wrong. Let the law win
(assuming it was not a gang beating it is likely he would have escaped the situation perfectly fine)
2: one or two police were on camera saying he reached for their gun...if that is true it is likely why they were heavy handed (not defending it but if someone tries to pull a gun and plans to shoot you or your coworkers your mind can quickly go into a dark place)
fight or flight kicks in, they beat him and if this post is true he knew they would beat him more as part of the vice lord hit. Cant blame him for running.
