Our small town has lost all shopping places except Walmart and Home Depot. Can't buy a pair of pants or a dress if your life depended on it. Nearest shopping is 75 miles away. And gas is again almost $5 a gallon. Amazon was the only option for most wants. Good thing I didn't need much of anything. Just did without. Even second hand stores have nothing much.
