I have tears in my eyes...
Life long dream as a young patriot was to be a
Veterinarian
Opted to volunteer my senior year at shelter near my home, before heading off to college to study for this dream job.
I was extremely naive in my youth. Should have researched this particular shelter since it was a kill shelter = meaning that any healthy animal that has ran out of time was placed in gas cages.
Was asked to bring a puppy into a room I never knew about until that day. It crushed me.
They released me immediately when I tried to run out of the bldg with this pup. They said they understood but could not allow " my behavior " to go unaddressed.
I've had both woofies, and cats all my life. One cat named Blue helped me beat depression. He helped me out 6 yrs of this hell.
When it was his time go across the Rainbow Bridge...
I was starting to feel defeated all over again. 45 minute ride back home I plead with God to show, allow me to know that Blue was okay.
Upon arriving home I am walking down the hallway into my bedroom to grab my slippers. My brother said I made a noise he heard before....
A cross btwn a cry of pain and great surprise.
Walking into my bedroom I saw my guy, Blue in Spirit curled up on my bed where he would sleep.
Shocked the Hades out of me initially as 20yr old young man. Blessed to have numerous encounters with him for years after, even witnessed him playing with one of our current cats in my bedroom.
Even heard his "bell" from his collar throughout our home. I wasn't the only one who heard it.
My heartfelt prayers, wishes, hope is that you'll be blessed in a similar manner with your beloved four legged companion.
Animals are unconditional Love creations from the Master Creator who allows us stewardship for a time and season.
I'm grateful to know that they will be Resurrected along side of us.
