My husband doesn't wear suits, so he doesn't need cufflinks. If he did, I would get him some with an S on it. And then I'd buy him the Trump ones for special occasions.
Me either. I only have 1 French cuff shirt that I’ve not worn for 20 years...
What’s the S for?
Last name.
Superman
I wear a suit every Sunday. I actually used to hate wearing a suit, now I like it.
My husband only wore them to my daughters wedding where he (her real father refused) walked her down the aisle. And the father daughter dance his daughter attended every year. The next suit will be his daughters wedding.
To each their own. I wear one to church on Sunday. Many at my church do not. Unfortunately, I’m my opinion, the desire to dress up for church is nearly gone. My view is that if Trump invites me to a dinner, I’m dressing to the nines (personally, not everyone has or would), so why wouldn’t I do it for He who is greater, God?
I don’t want the regularity of meeting to overcome its importance, nor it’s meaning. But again, people have differing views on this topic, and that’s ok. I don’t think it’s a matter of salvation so I wouldn’t attack someone for not. I just have my reasons for what I do and why I do it. Tradition is a poor excuse, what if tradition is wrong, but you could never question it. There has to be and always has to be a solid foundation upon why we do the things that we do.
This concept really is where the current generation (mine) is lost. No direction, no meaning, no thought, and no cares. It’s a poison and an invisible enemy at that. God help us.
I too dress up for church. I grew up wearing dresses to church and it has always been that way. I was taught to respect the Lord and to dress in my finest. I do not cut my hair except the dead ends as a woman's hair is her crowning glory. Young people today have no respect for appearance and go to church wearing anything. However on the other side of the spectrum is that the Lord doesn't care what you wear or what you look like, so long as you come to worship and fellowship. My husband does not wear a suit to church but does dress dignified. He does wear suits when called for but prefers to dress casually when necessary. You sound like a great respectable man and any church would be happy to see you change the trend of dress for many young men who don't know what that is. God bless and have a great day.
