The only thing I use vegetable oil for, is as an outdoor wood preservative. It works just like linseed oil, leaves an impermeable coating on the wood. Same as it does in your intestines. In my kitchen, it's lard, tallow, butter and coconut oil. Found out 90 percent of all olive oil, is actually vegetable oil, with artificial coloring and flavoring, so I don't use it anymore.
